Tony, Rick and Joe at the top of the "Cliffs of Ester". We had lunch up there. This is one of my favorite places in the park. I think it would be cool to setup a tent up there, and camp, but I don't know if it is really possible. Besides it is BWCA and not Quetico. Not too sure the rangers would appreciate it.
GeoFisher, Chms, and SmallieSaver on Ester. Smallie and I have never tripped together in the Boundary Waters. This was a first. I should actually say........we have been on trips together, but had not actually partnered up before. He was GREAT. If he was not taking his son next spring, I'd go with him ANYTIME. Smallie and I ended up doing the majority of the cooking for the group. It worked out perfectly. He had some great food ideas, and made the work that much easier.
